Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

1. Verify the customer concern.
2. Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical and electrical damage using the following chart:
Mechanical
- Leaks
- Coolant expansion tank
- Electric fan(s)
- Radiator
Electrical
- Fuse
- Wiring
- Connector
- Engine cooling temperature (ECT) sensor

3. If a fault is not evident, proceed to the symptom chart. Symptom Charts
4. Additional information on connectors is available. Refer to the relevant wiring diagram.
