Lever Replacement

REMOVAL
1. Remove the gearshift lever knob by unscrewing it from the gearshift lever.
2. Remove the console finish panel by gently pulling up at each corner and moving it aside.





3. Remove the four gearshift lever nuts.
4. Raise and support the vehicle.





5. Remove the two exhaust inlet pipe-to-three way catalytic converter nuts. Discard the nuts.
6. Remove the exhaust hanger insulators from the mounting hooks and lower the exhaust system.
7. Remove the four front floor pan center sound insulator nuts. Remove the front floor pan center sound insulator.





8. Remove the control rod-to-support bar stud nut.
9. Remove the transmission selector shift rod adjustment sleeve.
10. Remove the gearshift lever.

INSTALLATION
To install, reverse the removal procedure noting the following:
^ Replace the exhaust inlet pipe-to-three way catalytic converter nuts.
