Headlamp Dimmer Switch: Description and Operation
DESCRIPTIONThe high beam headlamps and the flash-to-pass feature are controlled by the turn signal lever, which is an integral part of the multi-function switch.
OPERATION
High Beams
To activate the high beam headlamps, move the turn signal lever away from the driver to the stop position. Releasing the turn signal lever in this position will maintain high beam headlamp operation. To return to low beam headlamp operation, move the turn signal lever back toward the driver to the turn signal lever's normal position.
Flash To Pass
To operate the flash-to-pass feature with the headlamps on low beam, pull the turn signal lever gently toward the driver. When the turn signal lever is released, the headlamps will return to the low beam operation. If driving without the headlamps on, use of the flash-to-pass feature will automatically open the headlamp covers and turn on the high beam headlamps until the turn signal lever is released, at which time the high beam headlamps will turn off and the headlamp covers will return to their closed position.
