Daytime Running Lamp Relay: Testing and Inspection

1. Key OFF.
2. Remove the Daytime Running Lamp (DRL) control relay.







3. Apply 12 volts to terminal 4 and terminal 3 on the DRL control relay.

4. Measure the voltage on terminal 1 on the DRL relay at these conditions:

Terminal 2 Voltage
Grounded Greater than 10 volts.
Open Less than 1 volt.

5. If the DRL control relay is OK, return to the Pinpoint Tests. Pinpoint Tests
Otherwise, replace the DRL control relay.
