Transmission Temperature Sensor/Switch: Description and Operation

The transmission fluid temperature (TFT) sensor is a two wire thermistor located on the main control valve body. It receives a voltage signal which is reduced by the resistance of the sensor, in accordance with temperature, and sent to the power train control module (PCM) which interprets the voltage signals to determine Transaxle fluid temperature.
