Removal and Installation
REMOVAL1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the air cleaner to intake manifold tube from the throttle body.
Throttle Body:
3. Remove the accelerator cable from the throttle body lever.
4. Disconnect any necessary electrical connections and vacuum hoses from the throttle body.
5. Remove the electrical, coolant and vacuum connections from the Idle Air Control Bypass Air (IAC BPA) valve.
6. Remove the two nuts and the two bolts from the throttle body and remove the throttle body and the IAC BPA valve assembly.
7. Remove the four bolts from the IAC BPA valve to the bottom of the throttle body.
8. Remove the throttle body.
INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
2. Ensure that all of the old gasket material is removed from the throttle body-to-intake manifold contact surfaces.
3. Tighten the throttle body nuts and bolts to 19-25 Nm (14-18 lb ft).
4. Tighten the IAC BPA valve bolts to 3-4 Nm (26-35 lb in).
5. Refill the cooling system as required.
