14. Remove both front wheel driveshaft and joints.
15. Loosen the power steering and water pump drive belt tensioner locknut.
16. Loosen the power steering and water pump drive belt idler pulley tensioner adjuster bolt.
17. Remove the drive belt.

18. Remove the three power steering pump bolts through the power steering pump pulley.
19. Remove the power steering hose bracket bolt.

20. Remove the power steering pump rear bracket bolt.
21. Use mechanic's wire to tie the power steering pump aside.

22. If equipped, remove the four A/C compressor bolts. Position the A/C compressor aside.

CAUTION: Do not allow the A/C compressor to hang by the refrigerant lines. Use mechanic's wire to secure the A/C compressor.

NOTE: It is not necessary to disconnect the refrigerant lines from the A/C compressor.

23. Use mechanic's wire to tie the A/C compressor aside.
24. Lower the vehicle.
25. Drain the cooling system into a suitable container.
26. Loosen the upper radiator hose clamp at the front water hose connection and slide it toward the middle of the upper radiator hose.
27. Remove the upper radiator hose from the front water hose connection.
28. Loosen the lower radiator hose clamp at the rear water hose connection toward the middle of the lower radiator hose.
29. Disconnect the lower radiator hose from the rear water hose connection.
30. Disconnect the radiator coolant recovery reservoir overflow hose from the radiator coolant recovery reservoir.
31. Disconnect the electrical connector from each engine cooling fan motor.
32. Disconnect and plug the transmission fluid cooler tubes from the radiator.
33. Remove the two radiator hold-down bolts from the top of the radiator.
34. Remove the radiator and the fan shroud by lifting straight upward.

CAUTION: Do not bend the radiator and condenser cooling fins. Use extreme care when lifting the radiator, and the fan shroud from the vehicle.

35. Disconnect the distributor electrical connectors from the top of the distributor.

NOTE: Label all of the electrical connectors to aid in the installation.

36. Remove the two A/C and generator wiring harness bolts, then disconnect the A/C and generator wiring harness from the cylinder head.
