Length Inspection

Inspect each valve spring for cracks or damage and replace as necessary.

Measure the free length of each valve spring.
The standard exhaust valve spring free length is 46.92 mm (1.847 inches).
The standard intake valve spring free length is 43.91 mm (1.729 inches).
The minimum exhaust valve spring free length with a set load of 233.0-263.6 N (52.36-59.26 lbs) is 38.7 mm (1.524 inches).
The minimum intake valve spring free length with a set load of 237.6-268.3 N (53.40-60.42 lb) is 37.0 mm (1.457 inches).
