Piston to Cylinder Clearance

NOTE: If a piston is replaced, the piston rings of that piston must also be replaced.





If the clearance exceeds the maximum, replace the piston or rebore the cylinders to fit oversize pistons.

The standard piston-to-cylinder clearance is 0.028-0.056 mm (0.0012-0.0022 inch).

The maximum piston-to-cylinder clearance is 0.13 mm (0.0051 inch).
