Lumbar Support System

The lumbar support system consists of:
- Lumbar/bolster support switch.
- Front seat back pad adjusting pump.
- Front seat back pad adjuster.
- One-way check valve.
- Front seat back pad adjusting hose.

During the inflate mode, the front seat back pad adjusting pump pumps air through a hose to the one-way check valve. The air is then routed through a separate hose to the front seat back pad adjuster located in the seat back. Except for the front seat back pad adjuster, all components are located at or under the front seat cushion and cover.

The lumbar/bolster support switch performs three functions.
- It activates the front seat back pad adjusting pump.
- It incorporates a one way check valve for air passage to the front seat back pad adjuster. Once the front seat back pad adjuster is inflated and the lumbar/bolster support switch is left to its normal mode, the one-way check valve closes and prevents air in the front seat back pad adjuster from leaking out.
- In the deflate mode, it opens the one-way check valve and allows the air to leak out and deflate the front seat back pad adjuster. In this mode the front seat back pad adjusting pump does not operate.
