Pump Insert Check

Torque Converter Pump Insert Inspection:

1. Install the pump drive shaft into the torque converter.
2. Install a torque wrench with a 5/16 Allen head socket attached, on the oil pump drive shaft.
3. Verify that the insert can hold 13.5 Nm (10 ft. lbs.) of torque.
4. If the insert cannot hold the specified torque, replace the torque converter.
