Removal and Installation

REMOVAL

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.







2. Remove the generator upper bolt.
3. Loosen the generator adjusting arm.
4. Remove the drive belt from the generator (GEN).
5. Raise and support the vehicle.
6. Remove the six bolts from the crossmember and remove the crossmember. This will allow access to the generator's electrical connectors and generator lower through bolt.
7. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the generator.
8. Remove the generator lower through bolt.







9. Remove the generator from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
2. Adjust the drive belt.
3. Tighten the generator lower through bolt to 37-52 N.m (27-38 lb-ft) and the generator upper bolt to 10-15 N.m (8-10 lb-ft).
4. Tighten the six crossmember bolts to 94-131 N-m (69-96 lb-ft).
