Shift Interlock Switch: Service and Repair
REMOVAL1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the console finish panel.
3. Remove the four transmission control selector dial bezel screws and lift the transmission control selector dial bezel to gain access to the lockout switch screws.
4. Remove the two lockout switch screws.
5. Disconnect the shift lock actuator electrical connectors.
6. Remove the lockout switch from the transmission range selector.
INSTALLATION
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
^ Tighten the lockout switch screws to 2-2.9 Nm (17-26 inch lbs.).
^ Tighten the transmission control selector dial bezel screws to 2-2.9 Nm (17-26 inch lbs.).
