Dimmer Switch: Description and Operation

The instrument cluster/instrument panel illumination is controlled by the light switch rheostat resistor located on the lower LH side of the instrument panel. The light switch rheostat resistor adjusts the brightness of the instrument cluster as well as all other switches and displays on the instrument panel finish panel and console.

The light switch rheostat resistor will not operate when the headlamp switch is in the OFF position.
