Oil Pressure Sender: Description and Operation

The engine oil pressure switch is installed on the engine into an engine oil lubricating passage. The oil pressure switch reacts to the pressure of the engine oil in the tube passage. It is closed with the engine off and opens with normal oil pressure with the engine running.
