Temperature Sensor (Gauge): Testing and Inspection

1. Let the engine cool.
2. Disconnect the water temperature indicator sender unit C195.
3. Measure the resistance between the terminal of the water temperature indicator sender unit C195 and ground.
4. Start the engine.
5. Verify the resistance is 1150 ohms at 20°C (68°F) and gradually decreases as the engine warms up.
6. If the resistance is not as specified, replace the water temperature indicator sender unit. If the resistance is OK, return to Pinpoint Tests.
