Headlamp Relay: Testing and Inspection

1. Key OFF.
2. Remove the headlamp relay.
3. Apply 12 volts to the 2 and 1 terminals at the headlamp relay.







4. Measure the voltage on the 4 terminal at the headlamp relay under these conditions:

3 Terminal Voltage on 4 Terminal
Grounded Greater than 10 volts.
Open Less than 1 volt.

5. If the headlamp relay tests OK, return to the pinpoint tests. Pinpoint Tests (Without Autolamps)
6. Otherwise, replace the headlamp relay.
