ABS Main Relay: Description and Operation

The anti-lock relay has two functions. When the relay is energized, it supplies power to the four valve solenoids in the hydraulic anti-lock actuator assembly and the anti-lock relay coil. Secondly, it supplies ground to the anti-lock brake warning indicator when the anti-lock relay is de-energized. The system relay is controlled by the anti-lock brake control module and is energized when it receives an ignition input signal.
