Headlamp: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Rotate the headlamp switch to the second position to extend the headlamps.
- If removing the LH headlamp cover, remove the battery.
- If removing the RH headlamp cover, disconnect the battery ground cable.







2. Remove the two headlamp cover hinge nuts.







3. Remove the two headlamp cover hinge bolts located underneath the headlamp cover hinge nuts.







4. Snap the headlamp cover shaft off of the headlamp cover control motor arm.

NOTE: When the headlamp cover shaft is removed, the headlamp cover will no longer be supported in the extended position. Use an appropriate tool to support the headlamp cover while work is being performed.

5. Disconnect the headlamp electrical connector.
6. Remove the headlamp assembly.

INSTALLATION
To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Check, and if necessary, adjust the headlamp aim. Adjustments
