Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

1. Verify the customer concern by operating the fog lamps.
2. Visually inspect the components of the fog lamp system.

Mechanical
- Fog lamp switch.

Electrical
- Blown fuse:
+ 30 A HEAD.
- Damaged fog lamp.
- Damaged wiring harness.
- Loose or corroded connections.

3. Verify the headlamps are working. If the headlamps are not working, refer to pinpoint tests - Headlamps (Without Autolamps) to diagnose the headlamp system. Pinpoint Tests (Without Autolamps)
4. Check the wiring harness for obvious signs of shorts, opens, bad connections, or damage.
5. If fault is not visually evident, determine the symptom and proceed to the Symptom Chart. Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
