Flow of Diagnosis

1. Verify the customer concern by operating the stoplamp system.
2. Visually inspect the components of the stoplamp system.

Mechanical
- Brake On/OFF (BOO) switch.

Electrical
- Blown fuse:
+ 20 A STOP.
- Damaged stoplamp miniature bulb.
- Damaged wiring harness.
- Loose or corroded connections.

3. Check the wiring harness for obvious signs of shorts, opens, bad connections, or damage.
4. If fault is not visually evident, determine the symptom and proceed to the Symptom Chart. Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
