Dimmer Switch: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Loosen the hood release nut.
3. Remove the LH foot lamp miniature bulb from the instrument panel lower side panel by turning the LH foot miniature bulb 1/4 turn counter-clockwise and pulling it straight out.
4. Remove the instrument panel lower side panel screw.
5. Remove the instrument panel lower side panel.







6. Remove the five instrument cluster housing screws. Remove the instrument cluster housing.







7. Disconnect the light switch rheostat resistor electrical connector.
8. Press in the lock tabs on each side of the light switch rheostat resistor.
9. Remove the light switch rheostat resistor through the front of the instrument cluster housing.

INSTALLATION
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
