Coolant Temperature Gauge

1. Remove the instrument cluster.
2. Apply 12 volts to the coolant temperature gauge terminal and ground to the coolant temperature gauge "-" terminal.
3. Connect one lead of the Rotunda Instrument Gauge System Tester 014-R1063 or equivalent to the "T" terminal of the coolant temperature gauge and the other lead to the "-" terminal of the coolant temperature gauge.

Temperature Gauge Resistances.:

4. Adjust the instrument gauge system tester to the resistances shown in illustration.
5. If the coolant temperature gauge does not operate as specified, replace the coolant temperature gauge. If the coolant temperature gauge is OK, return to the Pinpoint Tests.
