Climate Control Assembly
CLIMATE CONTROL ASSEMBLYThe climate control assembly consists of three main parts:
- Air Flow Control.
- Temperature Control.
- Heater Blower Motor Control.
Air Flow Control
The air flow control knob includes additional positions for NORM A/C and MAX A/C along with the familiar VENT, FLOOR, OFF, MIX, and DEFROST. This knob is connected to an A/C damper door switch which controls the vacuum motors via the vacuum hose harness.
Temperature Control
Temperature control of the heating and defrosting system is determined by the position of the temperature control knob (between COOL - left side, and WARM - right side) on the climate control assembly, and is accomplished by means of a A/C temperature cable between the temperature control knob and the temperature blend door.
Blower Motor Control
The blower motor control knob is connected to the blower motor switch and determines the speed at which the blower motor operates. Each position of the blower motor control knob is detented for positive engagement.
