Replacement
REMOVAL1. Remove the stiffener.
2. Remove the crankshaft sprocket.
3. Remove the four A/C compressor bolts and position the A/C compressor out of the way. Support the A/C compressor with mechanic's wire.
NOTE: It is not necessary to disconnect the A/C compressor to condenser discharge line and evaporator to compressor suction line from the A/C compressor.
4. Remove the A/C compressor mounting bracket bolts and the A/C compressor mounting bracket.
5. Remove the seven oil pump bolts.
6. Remove the oil pump.
INSTALLATION
1. Apply a bead of silicone sealant to the oil pump as shown.
2. Install the pump. Tighten the oil pump bolts to 19-25 Nm (14-18 ft. lbs.).
3. Install the stiffener.
4. Install the A/C compressor mounting bracket. Tighten the A/C compressor mounting bracket bolts to 37-52 Nm (27-38 ft. lbs.).
5. Install the A/C compressor on the A/C compressor mounting bracket. Tighten the A/C compressor bolts to 24-35 Nm (18-26 ft. lbs.).
6. Install the crankshaft sprocket.
7. Install the RH front splash shield. Tighten the RH front splash shield bolts to 8-10 Nm (71-88 inch lbs.).
8. Lower the vehicle.
9. Install and adjust the accessory drive belts.
10. Connect the battery ground cable.
