Check Brake Fluid Level
Check the brake fluid level in the brake master cylinder and check the brake system warning indicator operation before performing the test procedures. If the brake fluid level is not at or near the MAX level indicated on the brake master cylinder reservoir, add Ford High Performance DOT 3 Brake Fluid C6AZ-19542-AB or DOT 3 equivalent fluid meeting Ford specification ESA-M6C25-A.

Symptom
Usually, the first and strongest indicator of anything wrong in the brake system is a feeling through the brake pedal. The brake system warning indicator in the instrument cluster and the brake fluid level in the brake master cylinder reservoir are also indicators of a malfunction in the brake system.
