Cross-Member: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Remove the spindle through bolt nuts and the spindle through bolts.
3. Remove the rear stabilizer bar.
4. Remove the rear suspension arm and bushing (rear).
5. Remove the rear suspension arm and bushing (front).
6. Remove the four rear floor cross member bolts.
7. Remove the rear floor cross member.
INSTALLATION
To install, reverse the removal procedure noting the following:
^ Tighten the spindle through bolt nuts to 86-117 Nm (64-86 ft. lbs.).
^ Tighten the rear floor cross member bolts to 36-54 Nm (27-40 ft. lbs.).
