Testing Note

Internal diagnostic examination of the radio chassis should be left to the authorized radio service center. However, the automotive technician should be able to analyze and isolate audio reception conditions to the proper area or component causing the condition. All audio conditions can be isolated to one of seven general areas:
- Antenna system
- Radio chassis
- Speaker system
- Radio noise suppression equipment
- Radio amplifier
- Wiring system
- Aftermarket accessories
