Windshield Washer System

WARNING: WINDSHIELD WASHER SOLUTION CONTAINS METHANOL, WHICH IS POISONOUS. OBSERVE ALL CAUTIONS AND WARNINGS INDICATED ON LABEL OF WASHER SOLUTION CONTAINER.







The windshield washer system:
^ Uses two windshield washer nozzle jet and brackets located on the cowl top extension.
^ Is activated by pushing inward on the rotary wiper switch.
^ Has a windshield washer reservoir mounted on the LH front fender apron.
^ Has a windshield washer pump mounted inside a cavity in the windshield washer reservoir.

If multi-function switch is OFF or in interval position:
^ The windshield wipers will run as long as the rotary wiper switch is pushed in.
^ Washer spray will stop immediately when washer actuator is released.
^ The windshield wipers will continue to run for three to four cycles before returning to OFF or interval operation.

If multi-function switch is in LO or HI position the washers operate with no change in wiper operation.







The windshield washer nozzle jet expels what appears to be a wide fan-like spray pattern of large droplets of fluid on the windshield glass.
^ The spray is actually a single oscillating jet stream.
^ Actuate the system only momentarily because of the greater volume of fluid that is dispersed with this system.
