Toe

NOTE:
^ Do not attempt to check and adjust front-wheel alignment without first making a preliminary inspection of the front end parts.
^ Make the necessary adjustments after ALL front-wheel alignment factors have been checked.
^ Toe should only be checked and adjusted after the camber has been adjusted to specification.

1. Start the engine and turn the steering wheel back and forth several times until it is in the straight-ahead position.

NOTE: This is done so the power steering control valve, if so equipped, will be in the center (neutral) position.

2. Lock the steering wheel in place at -2.0 ° (counterclockwise) using a steering wheel holder.
3. Adjust the LH and RH front wheel spindle connecting rod or end lengths until each wheel has one-half of the desired total toe specification.

NOTE: Whenever the jam nuts are loosened for toe adjustment, the nut and front wheel spindle connecting rod or end threads must be cleaned and lubricated and the tie rod jam nut tightened to 48-68 Nm (35-50 ft. lbs.).
