Brake Light Switch: Description and Operation

The stoplight switch:
^ Provides power to the stoplamps.
^ Provides a signal to various other components including:
- Anti-lock brake control module.
- Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
- Shift lock actuator.
- Speed control servo.
^ Is provided power through Circuit 10 (LG/R).
^ Is protected by fuse junction panel Fuse 9 (15 A), which is hot at all times.
^ When closed (brake pedal applied) provides power to the stoplamps and rear hi-mount lamp through Circuit 810 (R/LG).
^ Is provided ground (at the stoplamps) through Circuit 57 (BK).
