Removal and Installation







REMOVAL
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove light switch knob.
3. Remove two upper retaining screws from the instrument panel finish panel. Remove the instrument panel finish panel.
4. Remove four retaining screws from instrument cluster.
5. Pull the instrument cluster away from the instrument panel. Disconnect the two cluster printed circuit connectors from their receptacles in the instrument cluster back plate.

CAUTION: If gauges are being removed from the cluster assembly, do not remove the gauge pointers: magnetic gauges cannot be recalibrated.

6. Remove instrument cluster.

INSTALLATION
1. Connect the two cluster printed circuit connectors to their receptacles in the instrument cluster back plate.
2. Push main wiring harness up towards top of instrument cluster to avoid interference with warning light bulbs and tripometer/odometer stepper motor.
3. Position the instrument cluster to the instrument panel. Install the four retaining screws. Tighten to 2.3-3.4 N.m (21-30 lb-in).
4. Install instrument panel finish panel. Install two upper retaining screws to instrument panel finish panel.
5. Install light switch knob.
6. Connect battery ground cable.
7. Check operation of all gauges, warning lights, speedometer, tachometer, tripometer and odometer.
