Removal and Installation

Parking Brake Control Components:






NOTE: Prior to removal of brake cable release the tension. Tension Release

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect parking brake rear cable and conduit from rear disc brake caliper.
2. Remove parking brake cable brackets from rear suspension lower arm.
3. Remove parking brake rear cable and conduit from the parking brake cable and equalizer.
4. Remove parking brake rear cable and conduit from brake hose clip.
5. Remove parking brake rear cable and conduit from vehicle.

INSTALLATION
1. Install rear parking brake rear cable and conduit in tunnel.
2. Attach parking brake rear cable and conduit to brake hose clip.
3. Attach parking brake rear cables and conduit ends to parking brake rear cable and conduit.
4. Attach parking brake cable brackets to rear suspension lower arm.
5. Route parking brake rear cable and conduits through parking brake cable bracket.
6. Attach parking brake rear cable and conduit to parking brake lever on rear disc brake caliper.
7. Install retaining clips on rear disc brake calipers.
8. From under the vehicle, pull parking brake cable and equalizer rearward to rotate self-adjuster reel backward and remove lock pin.
9. Apply and release parking brake control several times. Make sure parking brakes apply and release and BRAKE warning indicator lights when brakes are applied.
10. Install console top panel.
