Brake Pad: Testing and Inspection

INSPECTION
^ Replace any brake shoe and lining that has been contaminated with oil, grease or brake fluid with a complete axle set. Inspect for and correct any source of contamination.
^ Inspect for and correct any source of abnormal wear or cracking.
^ Inspect for and correct any source of deterioration or damage due to heat.

WEAR - FRONT
^ Inspect brake shoe and lining for excessive wear. If lining is worn to within 3 mm (0.118 inch) of shoe, replace all four brake shoe and lining assemblies (complete axle set).

WEAR - REAR
^ Inspect brake shoe and lining for excessive wear. If lining is worn to within 3.12 mm (0.123 inch) of shoe, replace all four brake shoe and lining assemblies (complete axle set).
