Power windows are optional on these vehicles. Only the front door window glasses can be raised and lowered. The quarter window glasses are fixed.

In addition to the components used in the manual window system, the power window system consists of:
- Window regulator control switches located in the front door trim panels.
- Window regulator electric drives.
- The system wiring and circuit protection.

Two types of window regulator control switches are used:
- These vehicles have two single window regulator control switches in the LH door, one for each door.
- These vehicles have a window regulator control switch in the RH front door to control the RH window.

The power windows only operate with the ignition switch in the ACC or RUN position. Power is supplied through Circuit Breaker 14 (20 A) in the fuse junction panel. At rest, both contacts in the window regulator control switch are connected to ground.

Pressing the down side of the window regulator control switch connects the down lead in the window regulator electric drive to power. The up lead is connected to ground.

Pressing the up side of the window regulator control switch connects the up lead in the window regulator electric drive to power. The down lead is connected to ground.

The RH window regulator control switch is wired in series between the LH window regulator control switch and the RH window regulator electric drive.

There are no window regulator control switches for the back seat passengers. The quarter window glasses can only be operated from the LH window regulator control switch.
