Fuel Temperature Sensor: Description and Operation

The tank temperature sensors:
^ Are located next to the fuel tanks, one in the vent box at tank one (tank temperature sensor one) and one below the vehicle at tank four (tank temperature sensor two).
^ Change resistance in response to the temperature of the fuel in the fuel tank.
^ Decrease resistance as the surrounding temperature increases, providing a signal to the fuel indication module that indicates the temperature of the fuel.
