Upper

REMOVAL







1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove upper fuel tank rack assembly.
3. Remove vent box from upper fuel tank rack assembly.
4. Disconnect wiring harness connectors from tank temperature sensor No. one.
5. Using a back-up wrench to prevent fuel line fittings from turning, remove tank temperature sensor No. one from fuel line fittings.

INSTALLATION







1. Follow removal procedure in reverse order.
2. Replace tank temperature sensor O-rings. Apply light coating of engine oil meeting Ford specification ESE-M2C153-E to sensor O-rings. Thread tank temperature sensor No. one in by hand.
3. Tighten sensor to 39-42 N.m (29-30 Lb-Ft).
