With Manual Transaxle (Melmac Starter)






No-Load Test:





1. Connect a fully charged battery, then test equipment as shown.
2. Engage remote starter switch.
3. The starter motor should eject the pinion and run smoothly. If the starter does not run smoothly, repair or replace as necessary.
4. While the starter motor is running, check the voltmeter and ammeter readings.
5. The voltage reading should be greater than 11 volts and ammeter should read no more than 90 amps.
6. If voltage or amperage is not as specified, replace the starter motor.
