Thermostat: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Drain cooling system, then remove fresh air duct and air cleaner assembly.
3. Disconnect lower radiator hose at coolant inlet pipe.
4. Remove coolant inlet pipe, then the thermostat housing. Discard O-ring seal.
5. Remove thermostat from housing.
6. Reverse procedure to install, using a new thermostat housing O-ring seal. Tighten thermostat housing to 14-18 ft lb.
