NOTE: Ford DOES NOT provide procedures to retrieve or clear trouble codes without the New Generation Star (NGS) tester.

Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) diagnostic trouble codes may be retrieved using the following methods:

a. Identifying voltage fluctuations of an analog voltmeter.
b. Identifying flashes of the anti-lock brake warning indicator.
c. Reading a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) from a New Generation STAR (NGS) Tester 007-00500.

The test connector available for obtaining ABS diagnostic trouble codes is the Data Link Connector (DLC) located near the battery.
