E3 Check Motor Relay Operation

CAUTION: While performing this test step, do not allow motor to operate for more than two seconds.

- Key OFF.

- Locate and disconnect the anti-lock brake control module connector C2.

- Key ON.

- Connect the "BK/BL" wire to ground at the anti-lock brake control module harness connector C2.

- Connect the "BL/O" wire to ground at the anti-lock brake control module harness connector C2 for no more than two seconds.

- Does the motor relay click and the motor operate when wires are grounded?

YES -- Go to E8. E8 Check Resistance at Anti-Lock Brake Control Module

NO -- Motor relay clicks but motor does not operate. Go to E5. E5 Check Motor Resistance

NO -- Motor relay does not click and motor does not operate. Go to E4. E4 Check ABS Relay
