Fuel Rail: Description and Operation
The fuel injection supply manifold delivers high-pressure fuel from the fuel supply tube to the fuel injectors. The fuel injection supply manifold consists of a tubular rail, fuel injector connectors, a mounting flange for the fuel pressure regulator, and mounting attachments which position the fuel injectors and provide fuel injector retention.A fuel pressure relief valve is also incorporated into the fuel injection supply manifold to test for fuel system operating pressure and to relieve fuel system pressure for service.
