Fuel Rail: Description and Operation

The fuel injection supply manifold delivers high-pressure fuel from the fuel supply tube to the fuel injectors. The fuel injection supply manifold consists of a tubular rail, fuel injector connectors, a mounting flange for the fuel pressure regulator, and mounting attachments which position the fuel injectors and provide fuel injector retention.

A fuel pressure relief valve is also incorporated into the fuel injection supply manifold to test for fuel system operating pressure and to relieve fuel system pressure for service.
