EGR Electronic Vacuum Regulator Solenoid: Testing and Inspection

1. Disconnect the vacuum hoses.
2. Blow into the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) vacuum regulator solenoid and verify that air does not flow.
3. Disconnect the EGR vacuum regulator solenoid electrical connector.

EGR Vacuum Regulator Solenoid:

4. Apply battery voltage and a ground to the EGR vacuum regulator solenoid as shown.
5. Blow through the EGR vacuum regulator solenoid and verify that air flows.
6. If results are not as specified, replace the EGR vacuum regulator solenoid.
