Removal and Installation

REMOVAL
1. Remove air cleaner outlet tube.
2. Disconnect fuel charging wiring from the throttle position sensor as well as accelerator cable at the throttle lever.
3. Disconnect accelerator cable at the throttle lever.
4.. Remove four throttle body retaining bolts.
5. Carefully separate throttle body from intake manifold adapter.
6. Remove and discard throttle body gasket between throttle body and adapter.

INSTALLATION

NOTE: If scraping is necessary, do not damage gasket surfaces or allow material to drop into engine.

1. Clean gasket mating services.
2. Install throttle body, new throttle body gasket and the retaining bolts to the upper intake manifold. Tighten retaining bolts to 8-10 Nm (71-89 lb in) then rotate an additional 85-95 degrees.
3. Connect the fuel charging wiring to the throttle position sensor at connector.
4. Connect accelerator cable to the throttle lever.
