Fuel Injector Wiring Harness: Service and Repair

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
1. Remove air cleaner outlet tube.
2. Disconnect battery ground cable

NOTE: When battery has been disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur until the powertrain control module relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 miles) or more to relearn the adaptive strategy.

3. Disconnect fuel charging wiring from throttle position sensor, idle air control valve, generator, heated oxygen sensors and all other electronic engine controls.
4. Disconnect fuel charging wiring from engine control sensor wiring.
5. Disconnect fuel charging wiring retaining brackets from intake manifold studs and fuel pressure regulator bracket and remove fuel charging wiring.
6. To install, reverse removal procedures. Tighten retainers securely. Verify all connections.
