Subject:
Special Field Action 96L10 - 1996 Mustang Owner Guide Oil Fill Capacity Information for Mustang GT and Cobra.

Affected Vehicles
All 1996 Mustang GT and Mustang Cobra equipped with 4.6L engines built at the Dearborn Assembly Plant from Job #1 through November 9, 1995.

Reason For This Program
Engine oil fill capacity information provided in the Owner Guides for the affected Mustangs is incorrect. The actual oil fill capacity for these engines is 6 Qts. (5.7 liters).

Service Action
A revised page indicating the correct oil fill is being sent to the owners of all affected Mustangs. They are instructed to place the revised page inside the front cover of the Mustang Owner Guide.
