Air Cleaner Housing: Service and Repair

Removal
1. Remove air cleaner element: Service and Repair

2. Remove engine air tray to front fender apron retaining bolt.

3. Carefully disconnect engine air tray from engine air cleaner support insulator in front fender apron and remove engine air tray.

Cleaning and Inspection
Clean the engine air tray with a solvent or compressed air. Wipe engine air tray dry if a solvent is used. Inspect engine air tray for distortion or damage at the gasket mating surfaces.

Visually check the engine air tray for signs of leakage, damage, foreign material or blockage to the air cleaner element. Replace engine air tray if necessary.

Installation
To install, reverse removal procedure.
Tighten engine air tray to front fender apron retaining bolt to 6.8-9.2 Nm (61-81 lb.in.).
