Idle Speed/Throttle Actuator - Electronic: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect the Idle Air Control (IAC) valve electrical connector.
3. Remove the two idle IAC valve bolts.
4. Remove the IAC valve and gasket.

INSTALLATION

CAUTION: If scraping is necessary, be careful not to damage IAC valve or throttle body gasket surfaces, or drop material into the throttle body.

1. Clean IAC valve gasket mating surfaces.
2. Install a new gasket on the throttle body and mount the IAC valve.
3. Tighten the IAC valve retaining bolts to 8-11 Nm (71-97 lb in).
4. Connect the IAC valve electrical connector.
5. Connect the battery ground cable.
