Pinpoint Test BB: Stoplamps/Rear-Mount Lamps On Continuously

BB1 - Check Stoplamp Switch Operation

NOTE: Verify stoplight switch is adjusted properly.

- Press brake pedal two or three times while observing stoplight switch operation.

Did stoplight switch operate properly?

YES GO to BB2.
NO REPLACE damaged stoplight switch. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.

BB2 - Check Circuit 511 (LG)

- Disconnect stoplight switch and observe stoplamps.

Did stoplamps turn off?

YES REPLACE damaged stoplight switch. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.
NO SERVICE circuit 511 (LG) for short to B+. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.
