- Unbuckle driver safety belt.
- Using an ohmmeter connected to a known good ground, connect second lead to pin C2-17, circuit 85 (BR/LB) at lighting control module.
- Measure resistance.

Is resistance 5 ohms or less?

YES GO to FF2.
NO SERVICE circuit 85 (BR/LB) for open circuit. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.

FF2 - Check Circuit 450 (BK/LG) Output At Lighting Control Module

- Using a voltmeter connected to a known good ground, connect second lead to pin C3-8, circuit 450 (BK/LG) at lighting control module.
- Turn ignition switch to the RUN position.

Is voltage B+?

YES GO to FF3.
NO REPLACE lighting control module. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.

FF3 - Check Circuit 450 (BK/LG) Input At Instrument Cluster

- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Connect voltmeter to pin C3-11, circuit 450 (BK/LG) at instrument cluster connector.
- Turn ignition switch to the RUN position.

Is voltage B+?

YES REPLACE etectronic instrument cluster. AFFIX odometer sticker to door pillar. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.
NO GO to FF4.

FF4 - Check Circuit 450 (BK/LG) For Open

- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect lighting control module.
- Using an ohmmeter, connect one lead to pin C3-8, circuit 450 (BK/LG) at module connector. Connect second lead to pin C3-11, circuit 450 (BK/LG) at instrument cluster connector.
- Check continuity.

Is resistance 5 ohms or less?

YES REPLACE electronic instrument cluster. AFFIX odometer sticker to door pillar. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.
